Director's Message
At Silver Bells Convent School, we firmly believe that education is not just about living, but about life. The role of education in shaping the lives of our students cannot be overstated. However, we recognize that the current education system needs to be re-framed and overhauled to achieve this goal.
In today’s fast-paced world, it is easy to forget that education is meant to build strong characters and create strong nations. Instead, education has become a means of passing information, without transforming human beings. We must re-design our pattern of education to produce individuals who are not merely mechanical but are imbued with human values from the very beginning of their learning.
At Silver Bells, we believe that it is essential to teach our students about the uniqueness of Indian culture, value systems, karma theory, and the basic values of living in unity in a society. Our students must learn about love for God, fear of sin, and respect for the law of society. We need to instill in our children concern for nature, the ultimate creation of God. Our students should know that we worship every bit of nature that is created by God. They must understand that we must learn to live in harmony with nature.
We must teach our children the value of empathy by taking them to slums, orphanages, and old age homes. They should learn to respect the laws of society and be self-disciplined, listening to their inner conscience while using their head and hands. At Silver Bells, we strive to incorporate values in our young minds that are a blend of modern and traditional values.
We believe that our teachers are the role models for our students, and it is our responsibility to instill in our students a deep faith in their teachers. We must teach our children the 5D’s concept of devotion, discrimination between right and wrong, discipline, determination, and duty. We must also educate our children to adopt the 4F’s in their lives, i.e. follow the master, face the devil (prevailing evils in oneself or in society), fight till the end, and finish the game.
At Silver Bells Convent School, we believe that education is for life, not just for living. We strive to build strong characters in our students to create a strong nation. Let us work together to create a bright future for our children, one that is rooted in our values and traditions while embracing modernity.
Thank you.
Sincerely,
Sandeep Jaiswal
